GENE L. BEHRMANN (101)
DECEMBER 7, 1922 – JANUARY 19, 2024
Gene Leonora Behrmann (Mendelsohn, Sadur), age 101, of Aventura, Florida passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 surrounded by her son Brian and dear caregivers Noris and Margaret. A long-time resident of Washington, D.C. and Aventura, Florida.
Gene Leonora Behrmann was the daughter of Dorothy and Maurice Mendelsohn. She was a close and loving sister to Danielle Holzman (pre-deceased) and Robert Mendelsohn (pre-deceased). Mother to Michel Sadur (pre-deceased) and Brian Sadur (Cindy). Gene was married to Marvin Sadur (divorced) and married to Harold Behrmann (pre-deceased).
In addition to her surviving son, Brian, Gene’s family included grandchildren (Blayne Weiner, Daniel Weiner, Julian Sadur (Jordan), Brandon Sadur, Alana Sadur (Ryan), and Barrie Kydd (David), Todd Behrmann, Matthew Millstein and Michael Millstein (by love). And great-grandchildren, Rachel and Morgan Behrmann. Loving nieces and nephews, Mark (pre-deceased), Anne Turner (David), Craig Mendelsohn (Dan), Sindy Rogers (Don) and June Plotkin, Allan Merit (Rosemary) and Leslie Merit (Suzane).
Gene traveled the world several times over with her husband, Harold, and in her life was full with an incredible wealth of love bestowed upon all her family, friends and anyone who had the fortune to know her.
We are forever grateful to her caregivers, Noris and Margaret.
The family asks for any charitable contributions to be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association, or charity of your choice.
A graveside memorial will be announced in the near future.
