George Zucker's Obituary
George Zucker, 93, of Pembroke Pines, FL. passed away peacefully March 12, 2018. The loving father of Robin Zucker of Boston and Nancy Zucker Shenker of New York City, George was a shining star and good friend to many, especially family including son-in-law Michael Shenker. Cherished “Poppy” to grand-daughters Melissa Kersner and husband Brian, Aly Shenker and fiancée Joey Shampain, Elizabeth Schultz and Asia Schultz. Dear brother of Helen Lusnewitz, and uncle to Rhonda, Nina and Neil. Dad’s philosophy was simple: “the sun is shining, it’s a good day”. He taught his daughters to appreciate life, to find work they cared about and to smile and “get through”. We will miss his voice, his Donald Duck impersonations, the bulls-eye eggs he made with ketchup smiles, and watching him on any tennis court or softball field. Nancy, “Nancy-Pancy” will especially miss calling him Georgie-Porgie. He was simple and complicated at the same time. His love for his daughters became more apparent in his last few years and we are forever grateful for our time with him. May his memory be an abiding blessing and may he rest in peace and dance with our mom to Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and the wonderful big band music he so enjoyed. We will miss you dad.
