Gerald Kerner's Obituary
Gerald Kerner, 88 years old, of Lake Worth, FL, died on Monday, March 13, 2017. Born on August 20, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Phillip and Ida Kerner. He graduated from City University of New York in 1950 with a Bachelor in Business Administration. After college, he joined the Army in 1951 and served for two years as a Sgt in the Signal Corps in Sok-Cho-Ri, Korea. He married Elaine Feinstein, the love of his life, and shared 59 glorious years raising four children and living on Long Island, NY, Great Falls, VA, Tucson, AZ and Palm Beach County as well as traveling internationally. Mr. Kerner worked as a computer development engineer for Western Electric, AT&T, and Singer Corporation in New York for over 25 years and then launched a successful computer corporation and real estate firm with his longtime business partner. He is survived by two daughters, Donna Kerner and Maureen Fazal; one son Bruce Kerner; their spouses, four grandchildren; and his sister Lillian Salzman. A memorial service will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Queens, NY.
