Gillian Mitchell, age 87, passed away on April 17, 2019. Born and raised in England, she then spent the early years of her life in show business, traveling around the world with her identical twin sister, Jacqueline Baird. She and Read Obituary
On Saturday afternoon (UK time – morning US time) I will be in Canterbury Cathedral and will think about the time Gill, Jackie and I went there together on one of their UK visits several years ago. Also over the weekend I will browse through photo albums of my time in the Cayman Islands in the 1970s when I would have weekend breaks in Miami. Gill and Jackie were so kind and generous to me both then and on my various visits from the UK since. I will so miss being able to phone them now and again for a chat.

Too many happy memories to think where to begin... but always fun and laughter to the fore. Maybe I'll share the memory of the Twins coming to stay with us for a couple of nights a few years ago... we had a dinner party, and invited two other couples where the man was American. It was a hugely fun evening, and for the parents of twin girls, had special significance, "We just want our girls to grow up to be this much fun" was the gist of it.
