Hal taught me to waterski when we were counselors at Lear summer camp in the 1960’s. Nice guy. MBSHS Class of ‘62. His memory is a blessing.
Hal was such a dear and beloved friend. His energetic spirit and kindness captured the hearts of all those who knew him. Hal was such a special person and will continue to hold a very special place in our hearts. We are so sad to hear of his passing. He will be truly missed. Our love, prayers and condolences go out to his family.
Hal, may you forever rest in paradise!!
Forever in Hearts, Bridgette , Terry and the rest of the Miami Legal family.
Hal was a dear friend who was born three months after me. Before that, Hal's father and my father were friends from high school and remained forever friends throughout the years. "Big Hal" and Sally, and "Little Hal" and Lucky, were always a close part of the Kaplan family. Whenever I came to visit Miami Beach, it was a treat to get together with Hal and catch up on the latest Beach news. Always upbeat, always a smile, that's the Hal I'll always remember. I am blessed to have been Hal's friend.
I worked with Hal in the Florida legislature. What a great man. I send my condolences to his family. Hal did many great things for people. He will be sorely missed. Sherry Lambert Brunner
Hal was most proud of his achievement in founding Miami Ostomy Aftercare Program, Inc., a not-for-profit organization to provide education and services to persons who had an ostomy after surgery. The website, www.miamiostomyaftercare.org, is a lasting tribute to him and the service he provided to ostomy patients and their caregivers.
So sorry to read of Hal’s passing…another lost piece of Miami Beach history!
Hal and I grew up together as young children. Our families were an important part of the community.
