Harold Rosen's Obituary
ROSEN, Harold, also known as "Tiger", 92, son of Joseph and Roslyn is lovingly remembered by Judie, his wife of 42 years, his son Rocket and wife Robin, daughter Debra Friednash, stepson Michael Hennings, sister Fay Friedland, grandchildren Jorden, Courtney, Portland, Darby, Joshua, Andrew, Evan, Brittany, Jordan, Brendan, Spencer, Joseph, great-granddaughter Rose, and an ever-growing extended family. He is predeceased by his daughter Ellen.
Harold was born and raised in Watertown, New York. He received his undergraduate degree at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. After graduation, he enlisted in the Navy to serve his country during World War II and the Korean Conflict. After his service, he graduated from the University of Miami Law School and began his successful legal career that spanned over six decades.
Harold served as Miami Beach Mayor from 1973 to 1978. He worked tirelessly to make Miami Beach a better place. A warm friend to all he met, Harold will forever be remembered by generations of Miami Beachites and all he met from the deli on 41st St for breakfast or at Joe's as he worked the lunch crowd, pulling up a chair and joining them for a lychee martini.
