Harriett Arlene Harris' Obituary
HarrisHarriett Arlene, 85 of Miami Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at her home. Originally from New York City, Harriett was a lively resident of Miami Beach for twenty-six years. She became familiar with Miami Beach while vacationing with her parents as a child. In 1966, Harriett was the recipient of a Humanitarian Award for her volunteer work at the Children's Free Dental & Eye Clinics on Manhattan's Lower Eastside. Later, she worked as a secretary at the Empire Mutual Insurance Company founded by her father, Robert I. Bloch, which was located in New York City. Harriett is survived by younger brother, Richard Bloch of Los Angeles, her children Linda Harris and Glenn Harris and Glenn's wife, Nancy. A private service was held for the family at Blasberg- Rubin-Zilbert Funeral Chapel in Miami Beach (305) 538-6371
