Harry Holtzman's Obituary
HOLTZMANHarry, 92 of Miami Beach, passed away September 6, 2011. Beloved husband of Norma for 68 years, cherished father of Joel and the late Robert Holtzman, dear brother-in-law of Harriet Glick and Arthur Botwinik, adored grandfather of Lane, loving uncle of Dr. Gary Glick and Carol Botwinik. Harry was born in 1919 and moved to Miami Beach in 1947. He owned many businesses, mostly notably Reliable Auto Leasing for 32 years in South Beach. Harry was involved in many community and civic organizations. Chief among these was the Optimist Club. He was instrumental in the founding of the Nor Isle, North Shore and North Bay Village Chapters. Harry served as South Florida District Governor for the Optimist’s in 1987 and 1988 and remained active for many years thereafter. He was a long member of Temple Menorah of Miami Beach. Harry was a warm and kind man with a deep love for his family and a genuine commitment to the youth of his community. The family suggests donations in Harry’s memory to the North Bay Village Optimist Club, 7601 Coquina Drive, North Bay Village, FL 33141.
