As a young city planner, I worked with Harvey in the late 1960s when he was mayor of North Bay Village. I have since worked with 1,000s of elected officials and none ever came close to meeting the high standards that he set for me to measure a public servant. Harvey Ruvin was one of a kind. Dade Countians are fortunate to have benefited from his services. RIP
It was a blessing and honor to work for Mr. Ruvin for nearly three decades. He was the finest leader I have ever known, easy to talk to and always found a way to help. I will miss him dearly. My deepest sympathy to his loved ones and friends.
