From the moment I met Helen Rifkin, 45 years ago, I knew she was special. After passing her test, and proving myself to her, every time I baked bread or said a prayer I was reminded of her. There are hairpin turns, sharp mountain drops and narrow bridges that have been renamed in her honor and now memory. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love in her children and grandchildren. As for me, I always felt as though Helen was part of my family too. Every year, when I celebrate my anniversary, I will toast Helen as well, as she was kind enough to share her daughter Abbe with me on my wedding day to serve as my maid of honor, even if it was HER birthday. Love you forever Helen... Rest well with your beloved. And to those you left behind, may your grief soon be replaced with sweet memories of your dear mother. Judy Fisher
