Helen Snyder's Obituary
SNYDERHelen, 86 passed away February 7, 2012. She was raised in Queens, NY and moved to Miami Beach in 1949. She was the beloved mother of Michael (Karen) Snyder, Richard (Linda) Snyder, Kenny Snyder (Andrea Horwitz), Diane (Al) Steren, Rand Snyder, cherished grandmother of Abbey, Zachary, Brooke, Justin, Jonathan, Stephanie, Alex, Vani (Scott), Marty, Danielle, Jay, David, Benjamin & Rachel, adored great-grandmother of Ian & Nathan, dear sister-in-law of Harry Kaufman, and many nieces & nephews, predeceased by her beloved sister Fran Kaufman. Helen was universally loved. She was a rare combination of beauty, grace and kindness. She was a wonderful mother to her 5 children as well as to many of their friends. Helen was the “Queen of Skylake“ where her home was always open and full of the neighborhood kids, who always left well fed (if they ever left!). She leaves behind countless great friends as well as extended family members, who are privileged to have had her touch their lives. Well known to all as either Grandma, Aunt or cousin “Honey,” a testament to her sweet and nurturing character. Her family would like to thank Karlene Knowles for the kind care she gave Helen over these last difficult months as well as for the care from Dr. Jay Reinberg who she greatly appreciated.
