Herbert Hillsberg's Obituary
HILLSBERG
Herbert passed away in Bal Harbour, Florida on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at the age of 93.  He is survived by Madeline, his devoted wife of 67 years, as well as his children, Sanford and Penny Hillsberg, Vicki and Allen Filstein, Mindy Hillsberg and grandchildren Marnie Filstein, Jamie Filstein, and Blake Epstein. Herbert was a veteran of World War II and subsequently built Hillsberg & Gough into the most successful contract architectural hardware firm in the country. After retiring and moving to Miami from New York, he and his wife Madeline actively supported with their time and other resources numerous Miami charitable and civic causes. He will be greatly missed by his family, his beloved caretaker, Jackie Williams, as well as by countless friends and the many others who were touched by his warmth and goodness. His canine grandchildren, Gracie, Rosie and Violet are sending him licks and love. The family will sit Shiva November 23-25 at their residence.  The funeral will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Levitt-Weinstein Beth David Chapel, 3201 N.W. 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, Florida.
