Howard Shiman's Obituary
Howard Shiman, age 92, of Duluth, Georgia, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024. Howard was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose warmth and optimism touched everyone who knew him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Pamela; his sister, Judith Shaffer; his brother Alan Rose; his sons, Paul Shiman and Gary Shiman, and their families. Paul and his wife Rosemary are parents to grandchildren Victoria (and husband Will Cioffi, with great-granddaughter Camden), Matthew (and wife Hannah Shiman), and Chris Shiman (and fiancée Megan Welch). Gary and his wife Jill are parents to grandchildren Arielle and Ethan Shiman.
Born in London, England, Howard had a passion for selling and meeting people. His natural enthusiasm and unwavering optimism led him to see the glass always as half full. In the 1960s, Howard's adventurous spirit took him from London to Miami, embracing the American entrepreneurial drive that captivated him. Though he returned to England in the 1970s, his fondness for the United States drew him back in the late 1980s, where he settled in Madison, New Jersey, before retiring to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. There, he cherished reuniting with his sister Judith, brother-in-law Harold, and their family: Suzanne, and Haim, Caron, and Amanda.
Howard's legacy is one of resilience, kindness, and an unfailing love for his family. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by those whose lives he touched.
