HIRSCH, Hyman 87 of Miami passed away November 13, 2017. Beloved companion of Joselynn Van Siclen, beloved father of Amy, Jordan (Ann), Roger (Drew), David, Brad and Todd (Emily), adored grandfather of Erika (Greg), Charlotte (Ben), Jenna, Evan, Molly, Alexandra, Rebecca, Samantha, Sophia and Davis, dear brother of Bernard (Mirriel). Hyman earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Baruch College in NY, and a Master’s degree in business education from New York University. After college, he served as a lieutenant in the Navy. He was a member of the faculties of New York University and Iona College, teaching corporate finance and securities analysis. He was employed by the brokerage firm Francis I. Du Pont & Co. and later owned seats on both the New York and American Stock Exchanges. He founded Sterling Associates Limited Partnership in 1989 and was general partner until 2001, emphasizing investments in the thrift industry. Services & interment in Westchester, NY.
