Irina Forsythe's Obituary
November 22, 1939 – October 26, 2025
Irina Forsythe passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 26, 2025. She is survived by her daughter, Anna, and two beloved grandchildren, Richard and Michelle.
Born in 1939, Irina’s life spanned continents and eras. She spent her early childhood amid the hardships of World War II and came of age during the challenges of the Soviet years. Trained as an engineer, she combined intellect with creativity, finding joy in making beautiful things — from hand-sewn clothing and intricate knitted sweaters to the serene landscapes of Japanese gardens and bonsai trees she tended later in life.
After immigrating to the United States, Irina embraced every opportunity to explore and learn. Whether mastering new hobbies like line dancing or bravely riding a jet ski and snowmobile well into her seventies, she lived with a spirit of curiosity, energy, and fearlessness that inspired all who knew her.
Irina will be remembered not for the frailty of her later years, but for the vitality, humor, and strength that defined most of her life. Those who loved her take comfort in believing she has been reunited with her late husband, her lifelong companion, and that together they are once again side by side.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
