I would like to think I was one of those (younger) people Kibby met very very late in life. Just last week,he and I spent Veterans Day together at Presidential. He and I met at PT about six weeks ago. He told me he was “one of the owners” and would get me a Cora shirt for free. Everyone was laughing. The boys there loved him. He would bet football games with them each week. My husband and I took him to our local deli after PT where he ordered a pastrami sandwich and then sent it back because it didn’t have enough meat ! He loved to break balls with Howard. His eyes would light up as he did it. Although my time with him was very short (and definitely not long enough) I know he got a kick out of me and I got a bigger kick out of him . I was supposed to have lunch with him this past Monday. He passed the same day my daughter married. Life and death at the same time, go figure. I’m certain there is a message there. I will miss you Kibby. Your memory is forever a blessing to me. My condolences to everyone reading this.
