Irwin Schubert's Obituary
Irwin L. Schubert passed away on December 10, 2018 from natural causes. He is survived by his wife, Renee Schubert of Hallandale Beach, Florida; sons Neil and Gary Schubert; daughter Karen Sabatino and husband Ron, and was the proud grandfather of Ashley and Julia Sabatino. Irwin was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 11, 1931 and graduated from New Utrecht High School in Borough Park, New York. He was a former member of the military and received an honorable discharge from the Naval Reserves. His career as an importer and exporter includes over 20 years as an executive at Westinghouse Electric Corp., where he worked prior to establishing his own freight forwarding company, Marquis Transport Services, Ltd in Jamaica, NY. Irwin was an avid basketball player and he also enjoyed racquetball, which he played up to his mid-eighties. He also enjoyed the music of Frank Sinatra and the television series Columbo.
