Isaac Habib
Born in Cienfuegos, Cuba on September 18, 1932, Isaac passed away at home on August 17, 2020 at the age of 87. He is survived by his beloved wife, Doris, of 63 years; his loving children Rochelle Haber, Mitchell (Elissa) Habib; his adored grandchildren, Matthew Haber, Sarah Habib (Eric Elias), and Ilana Habib.
Isaac delighted in dancing the cha-cha-cha with his wife, loved to learn, enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, and could be found reading math textbooks for pleasure. Family game nights were a hallmark and Isaac managed to carry on his winning streak - whether in cards, backgammon, or dominoes - long after suffering from dementia.
We are grateful for the loving care Isaac received from Sonia, and the Vitas staff. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
