Jack Abraham Haber's Obituary
HABER, JACK ABRAHAM, was born in Tampa, Florida on March 15, 1929. He worked in the family grocery store, Victoria Market, as a butcher. The Family moved to the Fort Lauderdale area around 1956 and founded Haber's Resort Fashions which became a leader in women's fashions. Jack expanded the family business to an area dominating 11 locations from Hollywood to West Palm Beach, where the slogan became: "Haber's Is For Her" Jack was a tenacious business man of the hightest integrity. He lived and worked by the creed, i.e., To Be Respected by Respected Men and the belief that "You Put the Business First and the Business Will Put You First". A big part of Jack's belief was based in the Jewish religion and the giving back to the Jewish community. This was accomplished by his many generous contributions to different temples in Dade & Broward Counties. He is survived by his two sons, Steve Gordon and Abe Jack Haber; five grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary and Jake Haber and Rachael and Sarah Gordon; and two siblings, Louise (and Mel) Scholnick and Irving (and Lana) Haber.
