Jack Barry Tobin's Obituary
Jack Barry Tobin was born on November 10, 1936 in New Brunswick, NJ. He was a social, athletic, and thoughtful child. He went to Rutgers Prepatory High School and then to the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in 1958. In 1964, he met Amy Ehrlich on a blind date and they would marry in 1965 and stay married for 60 years until his death. After their move to Hollywood, FL in 1970, Jack worked various jobs to support his family. Eventually, Jack would find his place in the work world managing real estate for the Balogh family on Miami Beach. Jack worked tirelessly to learn the industry; ultimately gaining respect and admiration in the field. Everyone who encountered him couldn’t help but like and respect Jack.
Jack also worked tirelessly (a theme in his life) serving family and family, and his religious community. There was not a person he knew that Jack didn’t help at some point in his life. Whatever your need, Jack was always there.
Jack had many close friends and associates with whom he left his mark each day. His smile and good disposition was contagious.
He is survived by his wife, Amy, his children Michael (Leslie) Tobin and Lisa (David) Jacobson, grandchildren Josh, Drew, Adam, Eli and Rachel. His sister-in-law, Joan Ehrlich and his brother Howard Tobin.
He will be missed by so many.
May his memory be a blessing.
