Jacques Roderick Paulen's Obituary
Jacques Roderick Paulen, 92, of Aventura, Florida passed away peacefully at home on August 30, 2018. From 1943-1945 Jacques was part of the Army Air Force aviation program. He had a passion for flying for many years after. In 1948 he received his BBA from UM. Jacques long career in the outdoor furniture business that began with manufacturing fiberglass chaise lounges at Ducor, a company he founded in Hialeah in 1960. In the 1970’s Jacques was the General Sales Manager for Keller Scroll and Keller Casual Furniture, as well as their Manufacturer’s rep for Florida. He also represented Gold Medal, Woodard, Vogue Rattan, Whitecraft and others during that period. In 1987, with his family, Jacques opened the Casual Environs showroom in the Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA) in Dania Beach. The showroom closed its doors in 2012. He loved golf, photography, travel and life. Jacques is survived by his wife of 20 years Esther; daughter Leslie (Dennis) and son Kip (Terry); his grandchildren Jason, Josh, Carly (Saul) and Jared; great-grandchildren Ben and Elle. He is also survived by his wonderful extended family Robin Parker (Michael), Brian Gordon (Ellen) and 7 step grandchildren. Chapel service 1:30 pm TODAY at Levitt Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 18840 W.
