Dr. Jaime S. Rejtman's Obituary
Dr. Jaime Rejtman, z”l, a beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, just weeks after celebrating his 64th wedding anniversary with his devoted wife, Sara. Jaime was a born leader who lived a full and vibrant life. He served with the US Army in Vietnam with distinction, earning a bronze star. Jaime was the president of his medical school class and Chief Resident at the Illinois State Psychiatric Institute. He was a Board-Certified psychiatrist who dedicated his career to helping countless individuals navigate life’s challenges, offering compassion, wisdom, and unwavering support that touched and transformed many lives. Jaime was the proud father of three children, Marc (Yonit), Rebecca (Jonathan), Jack (Joanne) and the grandfather of seven grandchildren, Ari, Talya, Jonah, Danielle, Erika, Eli and Jeremy. His love extended across continents, from his cherished sisters, nephews and nieces in Cali, Colombia to family in Australia. He was a lifelong sports enthusiast, who found delight in cheering for his favorite teams and sharing that excitement with family and friends. Jaime was renowned for his hospitality, filling his home with laughter as he danced, sang rancheras and defeated many opponents in chess and cards. Jaime Rejtman lived with gratitude and generosity, leaving behind a legacy of resilience and love. May his memory be a blessing. Zichrono l’vracha.
