Janet Facher's Obituary
Janet Facher Grodberg died June 20, 2013 at the age of 86. She was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ. She attended Syracuse University and the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising, and later worked in the fashion and music industries in NY City. She moved to Florida more than three decades ago, working for the New World Festival for the Arts and later for the Miami Jewish Home and Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapel. It was from the Miami Jewish Home that she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Sylvia Grodberg, and cousins John, Charlotte, and Marvin Simon. She leaves behind daughters Lynne Facher, Rhoda (Jack) Wisman; a brother David (Harriet) Grodberg, niece Eva Grodberg, nephew Harold (Emily) Grodberg, great nephews Danny and Sam Grodberg, and beloved cousins and their children who adored her. She also leaves behind a companion and friend, Alba Castano, who was with her in her time of need. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice. May her memory be for blessing.
