Jean S. 85 of Bay Harbor Islands, FL passed away January 6, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth I. Hershey, dear daughter of the late Sam & Lillie Silverglate, predeceased by her brothers Albert, Barnie, Isidore & Itzukal. Loving mother of Stewart (Susan), Mark
(Janet) and Mitchell (Michelle), adored grandmother of Sam, Michael, Kenneth, Matthew, Lauren & Kevin. Jean moved to Miami Beach upon graduation from DeWitt Clinton High School, Brooklyn, NY in 1947. She was a member of Temple Beth Sholom, where she served on the board and was an active member of Sisterhood for many years. She loved traveling with her husband Ken and visited their friends and relatives on their many trips around the U.S. Jean had wonderful and special relationships with all of her grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She will be deeply missed by all. Donations in Jean’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. Service 11:30 a.m., Thursday, January 9th at Temple Beth Sholom, 4144 Chase Ave., Miami Beach.
