Jeanette Herman Wax's Obituary
Herman-Wax, Jeanette, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on October 9, 2014 in Miami Beach, FL. Born in Toronto, Canada on December 1, 1923 to Annie and Morris Taylor. She married Ernie Herman, the love of her life, on November 6, 1946 and had two children (Paul and Lois). They moved to Miami in 1961 and shared a beautiful twenty-four year marriage, until Ernie’s death in 1971. Years later, she married Maurice “Wink” Wax and they enjoyed twenty-one wonderful years together, until his death in 1995. Jeanette’s later years were spent traveling, seeing shows, playing bridge and lunching with her close girlfriends when she was not with her children and grandchildren. Jeanette was a loving, kind, and caring mother of Paul (Susan) Herman and Lois Benjamin; Bubby of Emily Herman, Jana Herman, Erica Benjamin and Michael Benjamin; aunt and friend to many. Her wisdom, enthusiasm for life, and wonderful sense of humor will be missed immensely by all the lives she touched. Service 11 am Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Levitt Weinstein Eternal Light Funeral Service Center, 18840 W. Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, FL 33180 (305) 932-2700. Shiva will be observed Sunday at the home of Paul and Susan Herman.
