Jeannie Stofman's Obituary
Jeannie Stofman (nee Farbman) passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 24 at her home in Aventura, Florida after a courageous 6 year battle with cancer.
She was born in Philadelphia to the late Ruth and David Farbman on November 22, 1934 and graduated from Overbrook High School.
Jeannie will be remembered as an energetic dynamo who loved life and lived it to its fullest. As a real estate developer in Philadelphia, she was responsible for the renovation of the historic Bonaparte Court and the new construction of French Village. She also ran successful interior design and boat charter businesses in Florida. In her retirement , she took leadership roles in her community organizations. But her true passion was boating and sport fishing along side her beloved husband, the late Dr. Henry C. Stofman.
The other true loves of her life were her sons, Guy Stofman (Lori) , Andrew Rose (Susan) , her eight grandchildren; Nicole (Robert) , Chet, Lily (Cyrus), Danielle, Tyler, Gregory, Maxwell, and Matthew. Jeannie was also blessed with 6 great-grandchildren; RJ, Addison, Ezra, Lazar, Emily, and Boaz.
Jeannie adored her dogs (always having 3), was an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction, and was a jazz enthusiast. She treasured her friends, old and new. She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 28, 11:30 at Levitt-Weinstein Beth David Memorial Gardens and Chapels, 3201 N. 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, Florida 33024. Contact the family for a zoom link.
