Joan S. Mioduser's Obituary
Joan Carol Schmidberg Mioduser, 86, of Atlanta, Georgia, formerly of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on November 10, 2014. She was a beloved wife, devoted mother, inspirational grandmother and a cherished friend to many. It is with great sadness that we bid goodbye to a truly beautiful, extraordinary woman.
Joan touched the life of every person she met. She was great company, loved to entertain, had a fantastic sense of humor and knew how to make every occasion memorable and special with her unique thoughtfulness and personal touches. She was warm and embracing and never met a stranger. She lived life to the fullest always with a positive attitude, incredible spirit and endless supply of optimism. She had a vast collection of friends old and new who were like-minded; upbeat, interesting, energetic and fun-loving.
Joan was born September 25, 1928 to Rose and John Schmidberg in Peekskill, New York. At 18 years old, Joan moved to New York City where she met the love of her life, Stanley Mioduser. They were married in 1952 and lived, loved and laughed until Stan’s passing in 2004. What a couple they were .. surely one of the great romances of our time and no doubt blissfully enjoying their reunion.
Left to miss her forever are her sisters, Gloria Shultes and Margaret Mills; her brother, Martin Magone; her children Nancy and Ronnie Galanti, Susan Mioduser and Jeffrey Hunter, Barbara Marrone, and Helaine Blitz; her grandchildren Michael and Michelle Galanti, Laura Galanti, Joey and Kati Marrone, Jonathan Marrone, and Christina Marrone and many adoring nieces, nephews and friends.
Joan will be tucked in next to Stan on Wednesday, November 12th at Beth David Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s memory will be gratefully accepted by the National MS Society (NMSS), 1120 James Drive, Suite A, Hartland, WI 53029.
