Jon Philip Serbin's Obituary
SERBIN, Jon Philip 75 of Miami formerly Miami Beach, passed away May 24, 2014. He was the son of N. John Serbin and Georgian Broida Serbin & brother of the late Lewis Serbin. Beloved husband of Linda, cherished father of Jonathan, Sherry Hope, Kara Faust, Billy & Debbie Serbin, Bess & Steve Mikulenka & seven grandchildren. Jon was a graduate of Miami Beach High School Class of 1957, where he was an honor student. He graduated from Harvard University, Summa Cum Laude & Harvard Business School where he received his MBA. Upon graduation, he worked at his family business, Serbin Fashions, Inc. He was an active board member of Temple Beth Sholom & a member of its Board of Trustees & supported charitable organizations. After his retirement, he became involved in real estate with Streamline Properties. Jon enjoyed his family & instilled the love of sports to his children & grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all. Donations may be made to L’chaim Jewish Hospice Program. Funeral Service Tuesday, May 27th at 12:30 p.m. at Temple Beth Sholom with interment at Lakeside Mem.Park.
