Dr. Ronit Mayerson
I speak on behalf of his oldest sister, my mother, Ilana Mayerson.
We are deeply sorry for his early departure. He meant a great deal to my mother. Her deep connection to him remains to this day.
Through my mother, he cared for our family, always blessing us, and wishing us well with his own words of wisdom.
He was a strong man with an honest opinion and remained true to God and those he cared for.
He said to me, Ronit, God will watch over us, believe in Hashem.
My mother spoke with him on the last day of his life, and he told her the same, believe in Hashem. He also told her to take it day by day.
Those words of care and concern for others, for my mother, while he himself was deteriorating, illustrate his true nature and the loving and unique person that my uncle Yossi was.
May his memory be a blessing, for he will be deeply missed by his sisters Ilana and Aviva as well as their families.
We now pray to Hashem to watch over him, as we use his advice and continue to take it day by day.
Ronit Mayerson
