Joyce Chadroff's Obituary
Joyce Chadoff ~~~~~~~ August 13, 1935 – June 27, 2024
The world has lost a special woman that knew how to live life to the fullest, with a sense of style and flair, and tremendous warmth that extended beyond her family, which she cherished dearly. A true artist in every sense of the word, Joyce Chadroff was born in Asbury Park, New Jersey to Irving and Gussie Eisenberg, and moved to Miami Beach at a young age. Joyce attended Miami Beach High School and later met the love of her life Seymour “Sy” Chadroff at the University of Miami. The two were wed in 1954. Joyce went on to obtain her Master's in Fine Arts from Barry University, and from there created art in multiple mediums - she painted, weaved on an actual loom and sculpted with copper wire. She was a very accomplished chef and a master in entertaining; always with the appearance of doing so with the greatest of ease. Sy and Joyce were blessed with an amazing marriage lasting 66 years, during which they had 4 daughters and enjoyed 7 grandchildren. A lover of the arts, Joyce supported many different local South Florida and NYC arts and organizations. Based on that very commitment to the arts, Joyce was actually one of the earliest artists to take space and open a studio on Lincoln Road. Perhaps her greatest passion was her love and devotion to her family and friends, who meant everything to her. As a mother and friend, she constantly shared her unique and engaging warmth, making all who knew her to feel touched, supported, and loved. Joyce is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Karen Rutman (David), Lori Chadroff, Deborah Perlman (Alan), Amy Siskind (Harris), grandchildren and their spouses , Seth Rutman (Valori), Casey Rutman, Jared, Brandon (Samantha), and Jordan Perlman, Morgan and Drew Siskind, sister Marilyn Lundy (predeceased by husband Martin Lundy) sister in law Carol Kaufman, several special nieces and nephews, and the many extended family and friends she so greatly enjoyed. Joyce is predeceased by her husband Sy and her sister Tina Kassman (survived by Larry Kassman). The Funeral will be held at Lakeside Memorial (10301 NW 25th St, Doral) on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 2:00 pm. THERE WILL BE A CELEBRATION OF LIFE to follow at 3000 Island Blvd, Apt 401, Aventura, to thank all of our friends and extended family for your kind words and warm embrace (and again on Monday and Tuesday from 12-8 pm). Donations may be made to Touch a Heart Foundation, (www.touchaheartfoundation.org/) and The Lupus Foundation of Florida, (www.lupus.org/florida).
