Joyce Spitzer Einbender's Obituary
Einbender, Joyce Spitzer, Feb. 19, 1943 to April 25, 2014, born to Edward and Kay Spitzer; they moved to Miami Beach in 1957. Predeceased by Harold Einbender, they spent many wonderful years together. Joyce graduated Miami Beach HS in 1960. She graduated Cum Laude from Barry University and went on to earn her Masters in Social Work becoming a LCSW. Joyce touched the lives of 1000’s of people by arranging home healthcare needs, comfort to families, and being a patient advocate. She worked relentlessly to bring them back to health. Our family would like to thank, from the bottom of our hearts, her aid and friend Andrine Franklin, her doctors Dr. Michael Benator, Dr. Juan Rivera, Dr. Robert Galbut, Dr. David Reinhard, Dr. Paul Glassman, Dr. Christian Gonzalez, both Dr. Ciment’s. The ladies of the Cricket Club, best friend of 50 years Barbara Weiss, Gary, Roby, Pamela, Phil, cousins Maxine, Barry, Suzi, and many others. She is survived by daughter Janet Vilorio (Richard Irimia), son Jeff Simkowitz, granddaughter Jessica Vilorio-Fox (SSgt. Doug Fox, USMC), sister Dr. Carole (Dr. Isadore) Newman, nephews Dr. David and Matthew Newman, and countless others. She was an icon of love and compassion. She will always be in hearts and in our soul. Chapel service 12 pm Sunday, April 27 at Levitt Weinstein Eternal Light Chapel, 18840 W. Dixie Hwy., NMB, FL 33180. Interment to follow at Lakeside Memorial Park.
