Judy was always cheerful and fun. When Jeremy and my own son Bernard were young, Judy and I made play dates for them. I have happy memories of kibbitzing with Judy, while the boys were playing.
The last time I saw Judy was during the summer of 2018. She used to always try to plan a trip to Cleveland during the summer and combine it with a trip to Chautauqua. During her 2018 trip, we were able to drive to Gambier to see my sister Phyllis. Judy was great company. Sadly, she missed 2019, due to being sick and 2020, due to Covid.
I also remember fondly another summer trip, when we planned to meet our cousin Richard for dinner. Richard was to drive in from Detroit. We very carefully orchestrated the time and place. That would have gone smoothly per plan, except for one little glitch - an accident on the highway between Detroit and Cleveland! Richard and Alana were held up for hours. Judy remained patient and cheerful, as we changed plans by the minute. Eventually, we all met up and had a great time.
Judy will be sorely missed.
