Judith (Cherches) Pozo's Obituary
Judith Pozo (Cherches), who was affectionately called “Hilda” by those nearest to her, passed away peacefully on December 20. Nothing was more important or cherished to our Nana than her family, and she dedicated her entire life to them. For nearly 70 wonderful years, she was married to Jaime Pozo, of blessed memory. In her later years, she derived so much joy from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her spirituality and faith centered her life, and brought her peace and fulfillment. She lived a life full of love, not only from her immediate and extended family, but from her incredibly close circle of lifelong friends. Judith is survived by her children Sary Shafir (Bemi), Alan Pozo, Giselle Levy (David), and Florence Halberstein (Danny); grandchildren Michael Shafir (Monique), Erica Shafir, Mark Halberstein (Kristi), Jaime Halberstein (Shahar), David Halberstein (Danit), and Elise Halberstein Gilbert (Robert); and great-grandchildren Betsy & Penelope Shafir, Sebastian, Noam, & Preston Halberstein, and Addison Gilbert. Due to the pandemic, the family has chosen to conduct private funeral services and shiva. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Temple Menorah in Miami Beach, www.templemenorahmiami.org
