Judy Richman's Obituary
We lost a light in this world when Judy Richman passed on May 25, 2024. She was a selfless human being who was always helping others. She was born in Toronto, Canada on November 22, 1945, but spent most of her adolescence in Ft. Myers ultimately graduating from Ft. Myers High School. Soon after she moved to Miami, FL. where she went to work at NCR and met her future husband, Harvey Richman. They married in 1969 and lived in North Miami, Bay Harbor and for the last six years, Quayside. Judy was a fabulous writer and worked writing Bar and Bat Mitzvah candle lightings for so many families in the 80’s. For many years, there was nothing Judy loved more than heading to her house in Beech Mountain, NC for the summer. She was an avid reader who could sit outside for hours with a good book or doing the NY Times crossword puzzle. Judy treasured her lifelong friends and family, but she also made some fabulous new friends at Quayside. She enjoyed taking water aerobics with her buddies, “The Mermaids” and getting together with everyone for ladies’ nights. Judy leaves behind her husband, Harvey, daughter, Jill, son-in-law, Mike (Fried) and two wonderful grandchildren, Lily and Jasper. And her beloved dog, Vinnie. The family requests donations be made in memory of Judy Richman to the Humane Society of Greater Miami, www.humanesocietymiami.org. Arrangements by Levitt-Weinstein Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert Memorial Chapel (305) 932-2700.
