Kelli Gross Bassan's Obituary
Kelli Gross Bassan, a beloved member of the Aventura community, passed away on April 7, 2025, at the age of 51. Born on October 14, 1973, in Miami Beach, Kelli was a cherished mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to so many.
Kelli's life was defined by her roles within her family and community. Her proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children, Hannah and David, whom she raised with immense love and pride. She also leaves behind her mother, Karen Gross, her sister, Alissa Gross Merlo, brother-in-law, Steven Feldman, nephews Harrison and Carson Merlo, a big group of cousins, aunts and uncle, her beloved Teddy and an amazing group of life-long friends, all of whom shared a close and loving bond with her.
Her career as a Miami-Dade County school teacher spanned many years, during which she inspired countless students with her dedication and kindness. Kelli's commitment to education was an extension of her nurturing spirit and her desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
Known for her unwavering positivity, Kelli approached every challenge with grace and resilience. Her smile could light up a room, and her kind and strong nature left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She deeply valued her friendships, always cherishing the connections she made and the time spent with loved ones.
A funeral service will be held to honor Kelli's life on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at Levitt- Weinstein Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert Memorial Chapel, 18840 West Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, Florida (305) 932-2700. Following the service and burial, the family will sit Shiva at the Gross residence. Shiva will conclude on Thursday night at 9:00 p.m.
Kelli's legacy will live on through her children, family, and all those who were touched by her warmth and generosity. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
