Lauren Perlstein's Obituary
Perlstein, Lauren, 36, of Miami, Florida peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at 10:16 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018.
Lauren loved life and lived it fully. She was a welcoming, persistent, accepting, and witty free spirit. Lauren’s passion for music began at a young age, and she channeled it into a career. She handled management and public relations for various musicians and bands and founded South Florida Music Obsessed. Lauren was also the Public Relations Director at III Points.
Lauren adored her best friend and fiancé, Travis, her family, and forever friendships. LP, as she was affectionately called, had relationships that transcended differences; she embraced and connected with all people. Lauren rarely said no to a party, concert, or sporting event (Miami Heat and Dolphin games).
She became a vegetarian before it was fashionable. Lauren also felt passionately about the environment, animal rights, art, and culture. Her heart and strong convictions guided her choices.
Lauren lived for and in the moment. She traveled the world with zest and spontaneity. We’d enjoy her adventures vicariously through the stunning photos of sunsets and other memories she captured on camera. LP especially loved the ocean, sunsets, and the scenic serenity of nature.
In recent years, she and Travis brought two pups, Jaco and Fela, into their vibrant life. Pictures of her beautiful canine Aussie babies filled Instagram and our family group chats.
Our beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, and friend left us too soon. But she lived with such presence and abundance in her short 36 years. Lauren’s radiance will eternally light our souls and brighten our paths.
Lauren is survived by her parents Mitchell and Shelley Perlstein; and Susie and Alan Levan; siblings Gina (Mario), Don (Judy), Shelley (Jeff), and Jarett (Dara) and by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
