Lauren Shira Suran's Obituary
Lauren Shira Suran of Palmetto Bay passed away on July 22, 2016 after a long illness. She was a talented figure skater, dancer and artist. Lauren graduated from Design and Architecture Senior High and then attended New World School of the Arts. She trained and competed on the national figure skating team for many years in Delaware. Returning home to Miami, Lauren married Alex Welch of Miami in September, 2012. Lauren is survived by her loving husband Alex, her father Lawrence Suran, her sisters Marissa Porven and Ashlee Suran, her brother-in-law Maurcio Porven, her niece and nephew Mia and Mason Porven, her nephew Cameron Lawrence, her mother-in-law Ynskje G. Welch, her sister-in-law Leihina Rivera and her husband Jose Rivera and their children Heidi and Nicoli , her sister-in-law Tetske Welch and her brothers-in-law Hans Welch, Leander Welch, Tristan Welch and Simeon Welch. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 3:45 p.m at Mt Nebo Kendall Memorial Gardens 5900 SW 77 Avenue, Miami FL. Her family will be sitting shiva at Marissa Porven’s house following the funeral. Arrangements by Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert (305) 538-6371.
