Leo Levy's Obituary
Leo Levy, 89, of Tamarac, passed away on June 16, 2019.
Funeral services and burial will be held 2:00 PM on Wednesday June 19, 2019 at Beth David Memorial Gardens, located at 3201 N 72nd Ave, Hollywood, FL 33024. It will be officiated by Rabbi Howard Needleman of Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El.
Leo was born in Niederemmel Germany to Joseph and Mina Levy on October 6, 1930. He went to school in Washington Heights, NY. He married Edith T. Kaufman on January 3, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from NYU with a degree in Psychology. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked in the Employee Benefits field for many years at various banks in Maryland and later, Florida, until in 1985, he started his own Pension Consulting business. He generously volunteered his time throughout his life. He was recently volunteering at Victory Living Programs and had been named Volunteer of the Year. Throughout his life he had many hobbies such as gardening, painting and metal sculpting
Leo is survived by his sister Hilda Levy; sons, Barry Levy and Howard Levy; Howard’s wife, Linda; Grandchildren Michael, Samantha, Rachel, Erika and Allison; Great grandchildren Theodore and Camden.
Shiva will be held immediately following the services until 8:00PM and on Thursday from 4:00 PM -8:00 PM.
