Leon E. Arazie's Obituary
Leon E. Arazie passed on the morning of September 7, 2019 in Miami, Florida at age 91, surrounded by his loved ones. Leon was born and grew up in Brooklyn NY. He served his country in the US Army while stationed in Korea and was a graduate of Long Island University. Leon proudly served his home NYC as the Chief of the Law Department at the NYC Comptrollers Office for 20 years. He raised his family in Forest Hills, New York with his loving wife Renee with of 47 years. He retired to find his place in the sun in Aventura, Florida. He was an athlete, an entertainer, a handball champion, a traveler, a volunteer to lead and serve in his community. Leon was a giving son, a concerned brother, a generous uncle, a supportive husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather. Leon brought his special warmth and kindness, his smile, his generosity and his laughs to all who were lucky enough to be touched by him. Always a helping hand or a kind word to a stranger, friend or family. His life was a life well lived. He is survived by his Wife, Renee, his children Ilana and her husband Matt and Andre and his wife Lynda, and his pride and joy, grandsons Leo, Ariel and Noam. The family suggests donations be made in Leon's memory to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org. Leo’s Funeral will be on Tuesday, September 10th at 12 noon at Levitt-Weinstein Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert Memorial Chapel, 18840 W. Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, Florida 33180.
