Leon "Leo" Schigiel's Obituary
Leo Schigiel passed on September 25, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Leo was born on January 9, 1949 in Havana, Cuba to Isaac and Consuelo Schigiel. His life was a success story and he surely achieved the American dream. He was an entrepreneur, a devoted husband, loving father, selfless mentor, loyal friend, dazzling dancer, and an accomplished trumpet and bongo player and a shameless kid at heart. Leo was a man of principle. He loved life, and the simplest pleasures brought great joy to Leo: good food, great people, beautiful music and fast cars. His laugh was infectious and it was truly an honor to be considered his friend. To know Leo, was to love him. He is survived by his wife Lisa, and his sons Eric, Gregg and Jeffrey, grandchildren Daphne and Owen, Goddaughters Avery, Peyton and Chloe, and many cousins, nieces and nephews and beloved furry kids Bumper and Bunny.
