Lloyd Joel Mankes' Obituary
Lloyd Mankes died on May 6, 2016. He was 45 years old. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Carol Leibovich Mankes and his beloved 10 year old daughter Arielle Nechama. His mother Ruth Bizouati Mankes and siblings Jennifer Weberman (Ben), Jonathan Mankes (Sheindel), many nieces, nephews, Aunts and Uncles and countless loved ones. Lloyd was preceded in death by his beloved father, Steve.
Growing up Lloyd was the oldest of three children and he kept his family on their toes. Family meant everything to Lloyd.
When he was in high school he met the love of his life Carol and they've been married for 20 years this past December. He's been an attorney since 1997, he went to University of Florida Law School. He is a past president of the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He was a passionate advocate for his clients.
Lloyd had a love for life and was a thrill seeker, he never did anything small, everything was done in a big way. When anyone first met Lloyd they would see a tough exterior but if they were lucky enough to call him a friend they would see a soft teddy bear of a guy who would do anything for those he loved. He was a fierce protector of his loved ones and was a loyal friend.
He will be sorely missed and the world will be a bit darker without our wonderful Lloyd.
