Lois Kessler's Obituary
Lois Kessler, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at her home in Aventura, Florida. She was 92 years old.
Lois was born on August 22, 1932, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Charles and Belle Walken. She grew up in a loving family alongside her sister Elaine, who preceded her in death. On October 28, 1957, Lois married Eugene Kessler, her devoted husband of 67 years. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Lois is survived by her two children, Stuart and Cara, her son-in-law, Robert Balogh, and her four adoring grandchildren, Andrew, Alex, Perri, and Grant. A dedicated matriarch, Lois took immense pride in her family, serving as a guiding light and a source of unwavering support.
A funeral service to honor Lois’s life will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Aventura Turnberry Synagogue, located at 20400 N.E. 30th Avenue, Aventura, FL. Following the service, Lois will be laid to rest at Beth David Memorial Gardens, 3201 N. 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, FL.
Shiva will be observed after the burial at the Porto Vita Clubhouse.
Lois will be remembered for her warm heart, kind spirit, and steadfast devotion to her loved ones. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
