I guess it's weird that I'm posting this 14 years late, but I didn't know this existed until a few minutes ago. Louis was my grandfather. He was the most amazing man I've ever known.I loved him so much, and to be honest, I am who I am because of his peaceful nature and deep understanding of the world around him. He taught me throughout my life that there actually is such a thing as kindness, love, and understanding in this world, despite all the terrible things that happen, and to always be kind to people no matter who they are or how they treat you or the people around them. More than anything else, he instilled that in me, and that's why I have so many people in my life who I love and who genuinely love me. The last thing we ever talked about was his experiences in the Second World War, which he told me he had never spoken about. With that being my real last memory of him, I spend every day honoring him and being the person he wanted me to be. I I love you, Grandpa, and you will always live on through me and honestly all my friends in my life, on whom your kindness and compassion have had a profound influence.
