Manfred Moses Hagen's Obituary
HAGEN, Manfred Moses, 79, passed peacefully after a fearless battle with cancer. Resident of Southwest Ranches. Born in Magdeburg, Germany, his family fled, eventually settling in Miami. Manny graduated Miami Beach High School, 1954, ran track, and played Varsity football, he was a life long athlete. He enjoyed running, cycling, and tree farming and always had a canine companion. He served in the Coast Guard. Manny was a successful hairdresser, while running the family business, The Ocean Surf Hotel. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Marion, daughter, Tamara Kraus her husband Brian, son Ian, niece Tav Daly (J. Kevin) and daughter-in-law Jamie Hagen. Manny was predeceased by his beloved oldest son Gustav Hagen. His grandsons also survive him, Joshua & Ari Hagen, Jacob, Ethan and Blake Kraus. Manny is described as always having a “smile” on his face.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the ASPCA and/or The American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Service will be held Sunday, January 18th at 12:00 noon at Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 18840 West Dixie Hwy, N. Miami Beach.
