Marc Rubenstein's Obituary
RUBENSTEINMarc, passed away peacefully at home on October 9, 2012. Born on June 12, 1925 to Anna Breier Rubenstein and David Rubenstein in Brooklyn, NY. Marc attended Erasmus HS, Union College, Navy V12 Unit NYU and Harvard Business School. He was a decorated supply officer, USNR, stationed in Japan during liberation after WWII. He worked for the family business Nu-Way Shoe, then in sales for 22 years with Dunn & McCarthy, living in Teaneck, NJ. He retired to Boca Raton, FL and continued to work in the marble & granite business. Marc was an avid golfer and photographer. Loving husband of Marilyn Marsh Rubenstein, dear father of Valerie Onderka, Eric Rubenstein and Betsy Brother, beloved brother of the late Rhoda Weber; adored grandfather of Sarah Grace Onderka, Morgan, Jessie and Bryce Rubenstein, Ethan, Leo and Henry Brother; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws. Donations may be made in Marc’s name to the Peter Blum Family YMCA of Boca Raton www.ymcaspbc.org, or the American Cancer Society. Funeral Services Friday, October 12th at 2:00 p.m. at Levitt-Weinstein Beth David Chapel, 3201 N. 72nd Ave., Hollywood, FL. Arrangements by Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert (305) 538-6371.
