Marcus Levy's Obituary
Marcus Levy, 97, died peacefully at his home in Aventura this morning, December 30, 2014, following an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Bennett Levy; his daughters, Francine Levy and Phyllis Baron and her husband, Rabbi Joel Baron; his stepsons Barry Bennett and Randy Bennett; by his grandchildren Robert, Allen, David, Jeffrey, Randi, and Michael and their spouses and partners; and by many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. His first wife, Florence (Gubitz) Levy died in 1998. Mr. Levy was a prominent New York attorney and real estate executive, having been General Manager of the New York City Housing Authority during the John Lindsey administration. He was also an attorney and Judge Magistrate in Florida for many years. Funeral service 2:00 PM on December 31st, at Levitt Weinstein/Beth David Memorial Gardens, 3201 NW 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, FL.
