Mark Lichtman's Obituary
Mark Lichtman, beloved by many and resident of Aventura, Florida, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the age of 70. Along with being a loving partner of 25 years to Terry Shafer and a devoted father to his only child, Casey Lichtman, Mark was a dedicated pharmacist and owner of Drug City Pharmacy in Baltimore, MD, where he made a major impact in his community. Mark was often referred to as a “Natural Pharmacist,” passionate throughout his career about vitamins and herbal remedies. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Ilene Reiser Lichtman, and by his father, Harry Lichtman. He is survived by his loving partner, Terry Shafer, and his devoted daughter, Casey Lichtman. Mark also leaves behind his dear sister Merle Lichtman and his dear brother Miles Lichtman.
In lieu of gifts, the family requests donations be made in memory of Mark Lichtman to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, an organization devoted to finding a cure for Parkinson’s,

12:00 p.m. at Levitt-Weinstein Beth David Memorial Chapel, 3201 N. 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, Florida 33024. Arrangements by Levitt-Weinstein Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert Memorial Chapel (305) 932-2700.
The Shiva will be held at the family residence following the ceremony until 7 p.m., where family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of Mark. Mark Lichtman will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and by the thousands of customers he took care of personally over the years. All who had the honor of knowing Mark will miss his amazing sense of humor, his jokes, and how he always brought a smile to those around him. His legacy of love and devotion, knowledge about health and well-being, commitment to those he cared about, and his incredible strength and spirit will live on through all of the lives he has touched.
