Marshall I Stein's Obituary
STEIN, Marshall I. 85 of Aventura passed away Wednesday August 14, 2013. He is the beloved husband of Arlene Stein. Loving father of Dr. Robert (Jamie) Stein, Toby (Alex) Gimelstein and Leslie Stern (Steve Chakoff). Cherished grandfather of Josh, Hallie, Elissa, Jordan, Zachary, Jesse and Sam. Dear brother of the late Shirley and Lewis Gorfine. Adored son of the late Joseph R. and Elsie Stein. Marshall was born in Lake City, Florida and was a resident of South Florida for over 80 years. He studied at the New York Military Academy, attended the University of Florida and graduated from the University of Miami. He with his family were the original founders of Southern Wine & Spirits. Marshall was a founder of Mount Sinai Medical Center Young Presidents. Nothing made Marshall happier than being with his family especially his devoted wife of 63 years Arlene. The Stein family would like to thank Marshall’s special caregivers Hattie, Marta, Rosie and Darlene. Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Sunday, August 18th at Temple Israel of Greater Miami, 137 NE 19th Street, Miami, FL.
