Martin D. Gershe's Obituary
Martin (Marty) David Gershe passed away peacefully on January 25 after battling Parkinson's disease at age 76. He rejoins his wife Barbara and parents, Benjamin and Lillian. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and a graduate of New York University, and was South Florida resident since 1975. He had a passion for photography, playing the piano and was a US Swimming official. While living in Emerald Park Retirement Center during the last several years, he was president of the resident council and even organized a kazoo band. Marty was a caring, gentle soul who was always ready to give a helping hand. He is survived by his sister, Susan, two sons, Jeffrey and Michael and his life partner, Dolly Morris.
