Marvin J. Greenwald's Obituary
Marvin Jacob Greenwald of Miami Beach, Florida passed away on Dec 19th at the age 91. Marvin was born and raised in Louisville, KY. He attended University of Louisville and it’s School of Medicine and University of Kentucky where he received a degree in Pharmacy and a Master’s degree in Biochemistry. In 1952, Marvin joined United States Navy and after OCS joined the staff of the USS Ingraham as executive officer in the Korean conflict. After the war he joined the United States Navy Reserve and advanced to the rank of Captain before he retired in 1990. While in the Reserve he operated Shop-Rite Pharmacy on 41st Street, Miami Beach for many years. After he retired, he took a volunteer board position with Hebrew Homes later becoming Director of Professional Services for Plaza Health where he worked until November 2019 when he become ill. He is survived by His daughter, Robin and son in law, David, two grandchildren, Jonathan and Sara and his sister Sabina Fromm as well as his cousins Raymond Grenald and Mo Finder.
